Deliver it

  1. Simply

  2. Clearly

  3. Confidently

Make Numbers

  1. Specific

  2. Relevant

  3. Contextual


A Good Presentation should

  1. Educate

  2. Entertain

  3. Explain


Make an impact by using words that are

  1. Simple

  2. Concrete

  3. Emotionally Charged


Bullet Points don’t reinforce.  They

  1. Confuse

  2. Compete

  3. Complicate the message


If you want the audience to remember specifics in your presentation take into account three things

  1. The Law of Primacy and Recency

  2. Something unusual

  3. Repetition


Your Introduction should answer Three Questions

  1. Why this subject?

  2. Why this speaker?

  3. Why now?


When Opening your presentation

  1. Pause

  2. Pause

  3. WOW them!

For Delivering Humor

  1. Set up (Something)

  2. Set up (Something similar to #1)

  3. Deliver  (Punch line / twist)


Slide Presentations should be

  1. Clean

  2. Simple

  3. Visual (vs. text)


So your audience GETS IT!, keep in mind the three learning styles

  1. Visual

  2. Auditory

  3. Kinesthetic


Your Presentation should have an

  1. Opening

  2. Body

  3. Conclusion


Another way of stating what a Presentation should contain is

  1. Tell them what you’re going to tell them

  2. Tell them

  3. Tell them what you told them


A good outline for a Persuasive Speech is to talk about the

  1. Past

  2. Present

  3. Future


If you want to become a Better Speaker

  1. Practice

  2. Practice

  3. Practice

The Goal of All Communication

  1. Verbal

  2. Written

  3. Visual
