Questions & Answers Can be an Important Part of Your Presentation.

HOW Best To GET and ANSWER Them?

In Your Opening, Tell the audience WHEN you’ll handle questions.

• At the appropriate Time, Don’t say, “Do you have any questions?”

• Better to raise Your Hand and Ask, “What questions do you have for me?”

When Answering a Question:

1. Look the Questioner directly in the eye.

2. Finish a thought.

3. Move your eyes to another person and finish a thought.

4. Repeat till answered.

If You Don’t Move Eye Contact to Others:

1. They could ask a Follow-up Question.

2. You could answer it.

3. You end up in a conversation and exclude others!

DON’T Stare!      NO ONE likes to be Stared at!

If Don’t Know or Can’t Remember Answer: NEVER

1. Lie or Fake an Answer.

2. Throw the Question out to the Audience.

3. If You Do. . .

4. You could lose control.

5. Answers given may be wrong.

6. Time Management Issues multiply.

7. DO Say.

8. “Catch me after the presentation and we’ll figure this out.”

With a Large Audience, and especially if No Mic for People asking Questions. . .

1. Repeat the Question so All Hear It.

2. Perhaps Paraphrase it.
