O VIDEO #13: Nuggets to Lessen the Fear of Public Speaking
Interact with Your Audience!
This Video is the Thirteenth of Nineteen about Lessening The Fear of Public Speaking!
Fred Miller, NO SWEAT Public Speaking.
Here’s another one of my Nuggets to Lessen the Fear of Public Speaking.
Interact with your audience. Get them engaged in your presentation.
Ask a question. “Does that make sense?”
Look for their reaction, their nonverbal response.
That means they’re getting it.
That means you better restate it.
Get their mind engaged. Here’s how to do that.
“Picture your favorite coffee cup. Maybe it’s the one your son or daughter made
for you. Maybe you won that cup!
Maybe you bought it on a special vacation. I know, it’s cracked and it’s an old cup.
Picture that cup, and the memories connected with it.
Now, I’ve got them engaged. If I want to further that, ask a question. “Who’s picturing a cup? Anyone want to share?”
I’ll bet you pictured one!
Get your audience engaged! Interact with them.
This stuff works!
Till next time, Fred Miller, NO SWEAT!
