Here are Three Tips for using Eye Contact in your presentations.
Eye contact is important because it shows “Confidence in your Competence.” It shows honesty.
Number One – When you’re speaking, look someone directly in the eye . . .
Finish a thought. Move on to someone else, finish a thought, and continue that until you’ve completed that part of the presentation.
Number Two – Don’t stare at anyone!
No one wants to be stared at. You’ll make them feel uneasy and it’s not good for all the other people watching.
Finally, Number Three – We want you to look around the room, but don’t be a search light going like this.
That’s not looking at individuals.
