0NonVerbal Communication Rules!
Transcript
Fred Miller, “NO SWEAT Public Speaking!”
We have more debates coming up before the election. Listen to those debates, but also watch them.
We talked about this before:
Nonverbal communication, like gestures, trumps verbal.
Let’s look back at a few debates.
1992
Senior Bush, Ross Perot, Bill Clinton. Senior Bush looks at his watch, like he was bored, couldn’t wait for it be over. That was not a good thing!
2000
Al Gore and George W. Bush. Al Gore walks into President Bush’s personal space. That was not a good thing to do.
2012
One of the more recent ones; George Romney and President Obama. It was for president Obama, amateur night the first time. He seemed aloof, disengaged. His body language said, “I want to be here.” That almost cost him the election. I guess he had some good coaching before the next debate!
Well, the debates are coming up! Listen – Watch – Learn!
This stuff works!
Till next time, this is Fred Miller, “NO SWEAT Public Speaking!”

Also 2012-Perry’s “oops” moment when he forgot the third of three departments of government he said he wanted to cut. AND, did you mean under 2012 that Obama’s body language said he DIDN’T want to be there? From this line-His body language said, “I want to be here.” That almost cost him the election.
Thanks for your comment and good eye, Tripp!
I should have picked a different picture for President Obama.
Rick Perry never could get away form his, “Opps!” I used a clip of that the other night in my Meetup with other body language examples: Trump, Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, and others.
We believe what we see!
Here’s a short video on that topic:
