These Three Things!
Fred Miller, NO SWEAT Public Speaking!
Your competition has set the bar low, very low.
It doesn’t take much to stand out from other speakers.
Here are three things you can do.
Write your own introduction.
It’s not your bio! Nobody cares where you went to school, how many kids you have, and the fact that you like to collect seashells that has nothing to do with your presentation.
Write your introduction.
It should include: Why this subject, Why this speaker, Why now?
Use slides, but don’t use bullet points.
Use Images. People think in terms of images. Use Images. You provide the text with your voice.
Take questions before your closing.
One of the laws of presentation is the audience will best to remember the first and last things you say and do. That’s why you want a strong opening and a stronger closing. Take questions before your closing and then close strongly!
Do these things and I guarantee your next presentation will be absolutely, positively – NO SWEAT!
